What is Beautiful Soup? Beautiful Soup is a Detroit based food company. For now our focus is delicious, seasonal soups served with homemade bread. We hope to someday have our own little place but for now we make, cater and deliver soups!
Our Mission-Soup conjures up images of home, comfort and rootedness. Our city and region are experiencing enormous changes and thoughtfully and locally produced food can go a long way towards establishing a sense of home and community in times of change. The mission of Beautiful Soup is to do just that. Beautiful Soup believes in simple, well-crafted and comfortable foods. Soups and foods that are adventurous in flavor, but rooted in a place.
What’s in our soups? Our soups are made from scratch, starting with homemade broth! We focus on seasonal soups so we can purchase the majority of our ingredients from local suppliers. During the summer months our soups and food are made from about 80-90% locally grown and sourced ingredients. During the winter months about 70-75%. We do our best to connect with other local food businesses, farms and suppliers for all our needs.
Where can I try your soup?? We spent our summer months selling at farmer’s markets. But now that winter is coming we’re hunkering down and trying out some other venues!
You can get Beautiful Soup at the Bottom Line Coffee House in Midtown, Detroit. They have it hot and ready to eat, every day for lunch and dinner. Soup choices change weekly. Once a month we visit the coffee shop for a pop up lunch, usually involving free samples, new soups and tasty eats!
We’ve been popping up at the Museum of Contemporary Art. You can find us there for Brunch on 3rd Sundays, Lunch on 3rd Wednesdays and Dinner on 3rd Fridays! Our MOCAD menus are always vegan and always delicious and seasonal. We build a menu to complement one (or two!) of our seasonal soups. You can eat in the cafe or come pick it up and take it to go!
